We are excited to present to you the proposed Food Truck By-Law, a step towards embracing culinary diversity and fostering a vibrant food culture within Northern Bruce Peninsula.

Food trucks have become a cherished part of the community, offering unique and delectable culinary experiences to residents and visitors alike. They infuse our streets with delightful aromas and a sense of excitement. However, their presence has been operating under outdated regulations that no longer reflect the ever-evolving landscape of street food.

Recognizing this, the Municipal Council has drafted the attached Food Truck By-Law to address the specific needs and concerns of all stakeholders involved—from food truck owners and operators to local businesses, residents, and visitors. The proposed by-law aims to create a framework that will streamline the operation of food trucks, encouraging high standards of health, safety, and fairness. It addresses zoning requirements, proximity to competing establishments, noise levels, waste management, and sanitation practices, among other crucial aspects.

At this stage, we believe it is vital to hear from all interested parties. Your valuable insights will help us refine the by-law, ensuring that it represents the diverse needs and opinions of our community. We encourage food truck owners, nearby businesses, neighborhood associations, residents, and all interested parties to actively participate and provide their comments during this period. Your feedback is instrumental in shaping our community's future, and we eagerly anticipate your contributions. Thank you for your involvement and support.
