The Municipality is reviewing how Bed & Breakfast (B&B) establishments should be regulated in our community. Currently, our Zoning By-law permits B&Bs in several zones and outlines rules for occupancy, parking, signage, and guest rooms. While the by-law also requires B&Bs to be licensed, no formal licensing program has yet been established.
Council is now considering developing a Business Licensing Policy – guided by community feedback through surveys, public meetings, and a formal review process.
Public engagement will play a central role in shaping the path forward. Input from residents, business owners, and tourism stakeholders will ensure the policy reflects community needs while supporting fairness, safety, and accountability.
This portal provides information about the initiative, upcoming opportunities to participate, and updates as the process moves ahead.
